Mayor Darren E. Bryant told the Village of Robbins Board on March 26 that the village will send a delegation to Springfield on April 10 and that a $3 million project is proposed at 137th & Claire Boulevard. He also said a Harold's Chicken franchise is proposed to locate at 13730 Claire Blvd. The announcement at the meeting was informational; no formal zoning or development agreements were presented for board approval at the session.
During citizen comment several residents expressed support for the Harold's proposal. Resident Ms. Murphy said she was "enjoying this meeting" and applauded the board for taking a chance on the business, adding, "We're investing not only in the building, but in the future." Ms. Hill, who spoke later, said she would correct verbiage in the community-garden lease and aimed for an April 1 opening.
The minutes do not include a project plan, developer name beyond the company referenced in a separate ground lease (Andrews Development & Renovation LLC), zoning approvals, financing details or a timetable for construction. Residents seeking confirmation of developer agreements, permits, or tax-incentive details were directed to contact village staff.
