Robbins board approves treasurer's report, pest‑control contract and street closure; defers two items

At its July 8 meeting the Village of Robbins board approved several routine items and took formal votes on contracts and event logistics.
Trustee Thomas Harper moved and Trustee Michael Collier Sr seconded approval of the treasurer's report showing $780,958.89; the motion carried on a roll call vote (ayes: Dyson, Maxey, Harper, Kelly, Holmes, Collier). The board approved a Preyon Pest Control service agreement after a motion by Trustee Harper and seconded by Trustees Kelly and Holmes; the motion carried unanimously. The board deferred Item B to the Ordinances & License Committee (motion by Trustee Collier) and deferred Item C to the next regular meeting (motion by Trustee Collier, seconded by Trustee Harper). Trustee Holmes moved and Trustee Maxey seconded approval of a street closure July 20 from 3–7 p.m. for the Park District car & bike show (137th Claire to 138th Claire Blvd); the motion passed on a roll call.
The meeting also included a motion to enter executive session under Section 2(c)(5) to discuss whether land should be purchased or leased by the public body; trustees voted to enter and later reconvened. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
No ordinance adoptions or budget amendments were enacted at the July 8 session; where trustees deferred items, staff or committee follow‑up was requested.
