Senior Planner Kayla Yankey presented REZ26-0433 on May 5, a request by Village of the Valley LLC to amend proffers on two parcels (1.595 acres) zoned B-1 C at 11702 and 11706 Spotswood Trail in Elkton to add "Cultural Center" as a permitted use under the proffers.
Commissioner Keith Sheets asked whether the cultural center use would take place inside an existing building on the site; Ms. Yankey confirmed that it would and added that "all relevant permitting would be required." No members of the public spoke for or against the amendment during the public hearing.
Commissioner Sheets moved to recommend approval; Commissioner Kevin Flint seconded. The Planning Commission recommended the proffer amendment by roll call vote, 5-0 (Flint Aye; Harvey Aye; Curfman Aye; Rohrer Aye; Sheets Aye). The minutes record the matter as recommended for approval.
