Kris Bergh, presenting the Veteran—s Services Officer report, said 24 veteran cases have been closed and that the office records show about 109 cases but the caseload is more accurately around 115. Bergh reported one veteran death and described outreach undertaken over Memorial Day and planned visits to the Briggsville and Westfield American Legion posts later in the week. Bergh said June virtual training is planned.
Bergh noted the office name is now CTVSO (Tribal) to reflect participation by nine tribes. She also said the state reported a 24% reduction in the disability backlog. The minutes list no formal board action tied to the veteran services update.
