Dawn Woodard, representing Clinical Services at Marquette County DHS, reported that the county Recovery Center had a soft opening on Memorial Day and will be open Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. She said clinical services programs were recently approved by the Division of Quality Assurance and announced suicide and crisis‑prevention trainings, including a COMET training scheduled for June 16 from 9–11 a.m.
Woodard provided May statistics for clinical services: 21 crisis calls, four jail calls, three emergency detentions, five long‑term placements, and 17 referrals to the clinic. The board received the update; the minutes do not show a vote tied to the Recovery Center opening beyond the report of operations and trainings.
The Clinical Services update clarifies hours and training opportunities and provides baseline utilization figures that department leaders may use to plan staffing and outreach.
