Cedar Creek board adopts 2024-3 appropriations ordinance and approves restricted funds increase

The Cedar Creek Board of Trustees voted on Sept. 17 to adopt Ordinance 2024-3, the appropriations bill for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2025, and to approve Resolution 2024-6, which applies a 2½% restricted funds base increase and authorizes exceeding the adopted budget by an additional 1%.
Trustee Fuxa moved to waive the three required readings for the budget ordinance; Trustee Bruckner seconded and the motion passed by roll call. Following the waiver, Fuxa moved to adopt Ordinance 2024-3 and Bruckner seconded. The roll call vote was recorded as Prescott, Bruckner and Fuxa voting aye; Peacock and Richardson were absent.
The board then adopted Resolution 2024-6 to set the restricted funds base increase at 2½% and to exceed the budget by an additional 1 percent, again passing by roll call with the same trustees voting in favor. The meeting record shows no public questions were raised during the budget portion of the public hearing.
At the same meeting the treasurer presented account balances and claims for Aug. 21 through Sept. 17, 2024, and the board approved the treasurer's report by roll call. The approved treasurer's report lists fund balances for general, street, debt service, Keno and community event funds and enumerates vendor claims.
