Enon council adopts Resolution #2025-10 on tax levies, approves financial and court reports and sets Trick-or-Treat date

At its Sept. 9 meeting the Village of Enon Council unanimously adopted Resolution #2025-10 to accept budget-determined amounts and authorize tax levies, approved August financial and Mayor's Court reports, and set Trick-or-Treat for Oct. 25, 2025 from 6–8 p.m.
The Village of Enon Council on Sept. 9 unanimously adopted Resolution #2025-10, a measure accepting the amounts and rates determined by the 2025 budget and authorizing the necessary tax levies to be certified to the County Auditor.
Council moved to suspend the three-reading rule before voting on the resolution; the suspension motion (moved by Council member Leist, seconded by Council member Whitacre) passed by unanimous roll call. The subsequent motion to adopt Resolution #2025-10 (moved by Leist, seconded by Whitacre) also passed unanimously.
The council also approved routine housekeeping items. Fiscal Officer Robert Storm presented the August financial report and the council voted (Whitacre/Beair) to approve the August financial statements and bank reconciliation. Administrator Siferd presented the August Mayor's Court report; the council approved that report on a Whitacre/Sweet motion.
In other formal business the council voted to set the Village's Trick-or-Treat hours for Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (motion by Sweet, second by Leist); that measure passed on a unanimous vote.
All recorded roll-call votes on motions at the meeting were unanimous among the five members present: Council members Leist, Sweet, Beair, Whitacre and President Rick Hanna. Council member Davoli was excused. The adopted resolution includes certification to the County Auditor as described in the resolution language recorded in the minutes.
