Maumelle wins $2.48M roundabout grant and $315K for White Oak Bayou trail engineering

Separately, the city received an $315,000 80/20 grant to cover engineering work for the White Oak Bayou trail; the mayor said the city will need to appropriate about $79,000 to match that grant in a future budget resolution.
Officials cautioned that awarded grants move slowly and that the city will present budget resolutions and engineering steps as projects are advanced through the procurement and design process.
