Staff told commissioners the applicant revised the layout to increase the separation between buildings to 30 feet and to remain within the 75-foot setbacks required in the I1 district. Fire had raised comments on an earlier layout, staff said, but the revised plan addressed those concerns and "Chief Eaton is here for any question," staff added. Staff recommended approval contingent on city engineering and other staff comments.
Commissioners moved to approve STP-24-5 "subject to the revised plan, city staff and engineering comments," and the motion carried on a voice vote. The commission then approved the landscape plan for the same project, with staff noting existing perimeter trees meet the city’s landscaping standards and that any trees or landscaping removed during construction must be replaced to remain in compliance with ordinance requirements.
