Ceresco moves budget meeting earlier, trustees revise One & Six Year Street Plan priorities

The Ceresco Board of Trustees set the 2025 budget meeting for Monday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. after Clerk Joan Lindgren said the village accountant needs five days to prepare materials for publication. Lindgren said the Aug. 25 date will provide the necessary lead time for the budget public hearing notice.
Trustee Burklund reviewed proposed edits to the One & Six Year Street Plan, proposing that 2nd Street (Pine to Main) be moved into the one-year plan and advocating for mill-and-overlay work rather than full curb-and-gutter replacement. Board members discussed contract status with M.E. Collins; Anderson said the contract auto-renews annually for up to four years and noted that board action would be required to cancel it.
Johnson moved to pay A&H Concrete $4,150.00 as presented and the board approved the payment. Lindgren asked trustees to review the One & Six Year Street Plan before the August public hearing.
