Clarks — The Clarks Village Board of Trustees adopted the FY 2025–2026 budget and set the village’s property tax request during its Sept. 10 meeting.
At a public hearing opened at 7:52 p.m. and closed at 7:54 p.m., trustees voted 3-0 to adopt the budget. The board then passed Resolution No. 2025-0910.1 setting the General Fund property tax request at $108,094.24 and proposing a tax rate of 0.449998 per $100 of assessed value; the resolution notes that the village’s total assessed value changed by 5.06 percent from the prior year.
The motion to open the public hearing and adopt the budget was made by Trustee James Parsons and seconded by Trustee Dyrek Zoucha; the roll-call for adoption recorded votes from Chairman Donn Glynn and Trustees Parsons and Zoucha. The minutes state there were no questions from attendees during the public hearing.
The resolution also records that, based on the proposed request and changes in other revenue, the village’s total operating budget will change by 20.41 percent compared with last year and directs that a certified copy of the resolution be forwarded to the County Clerk on or before Oct. 15, 2025.
The board’s formal actions were recorded in motions by Parsons with seconds from Zoucha and carried unanimously. No alternative budget proposals or votes against adoption were recorded.
The village’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 8, 2025, at 7 p.m., which will include a public hearing for the budget.
