He said the commission and its consultants found no new materials to review at this meeting and emphasized that many of the public’s substantive concerns—setbacks, FAR and retaining-wall design—are matters for the planning board rather than the commission’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) consistency review. The chair also noted that commissioners who wanted a site visit had been able to visit the property independently.
The draft resolution, prepared by the village and its attorneys, set out the record and the nature of the minor adjustments the applicant made since the prior approvals. After asking each commissioner whether they had sufficient information to cast a vote on the draft resolution, the chair moved to approve it; a second was recorded and the motion was approved by voice vote.
The commission’s action does not itself alter planning-board authorities; it records the commission’s LWRP consistency determination and the record for subsequent planning-board consideration. The chair said the commission will rely on professional reports and the existing record to inform that determination.
