Ceresco tables Celebrate Ceresco transfer request, approves parade and Memorial Day closures; local TNR groups ask for ordinance updates

Trustee Custer said the transfer would move funds to Village accounts rather than between committees, but the Board agreed to table the request for attorney and accountant review.
On event logistics, the Board approved a parade-route change to close 2nd Street and Main Street for the parade and approved closing a portion of Elm Street (starting at 116 W Elm) for the Memorial Day service; both motions passed unanimously.
Representatives of local animal-care organizations—Amy Bolton (The Purrpose; The Cat House), Karen Kurbis and Marlene Tracy (Brave TNR)—reported on recent feral-cat work in Ceresco (17 cats trapped; Brave TNR reported spending more than $1,000 and The Cat House more than $3,500). They urged the Board to update village ordinances related to animal management and offered to partner with the Village on community education and operations. The Board extended the meeting briefly to finish the discussion before adjourning at 9:16 PM.
