Ceresco board holds public hearing and approves first reading to acquire drainage easement in Westridge Knolls

The board approved Ordinance 2025-7 on its first reading by roll call (Yeas: Peterson, Ruble, Burklund and Johnson; Nays: none). Peterson said the ordinance would return for second reading at the next meeting per the board's normal process.
The ordinance cites Neb. Rev. Stat. §18-1755 to justify acquisition by ordinance following notice and public hearing.
What happens next: the ordinance will be scheduled for second reading on the next board agenda, and staff are authorized to proceed with necessary documents and payment once final approvals are complete.
