Cedarville council approves amended 2024 budget, senior center and library contracts

Mayor Deborah Pinkerton introduced the measures. Treasurer Sandy Cook gave a brief explanation of the proposed amendments to the 2024 budget before the council voted to adopt Resolution #2025-01-21-04. Alderman Cook moved the budget resolution, Alderman Saddler seconded, and the motion passed 4-0.
The council also approved three contracts and a governance update: Resolution #2025-01-21-01 authorizing a contract with the Cedarville Senior Center (moved by Alderman Cook; second Alderman Johnson), Resolution #2025-01-21-02 authorizing a contract with the Crawford County Library System (moved by Alderman Cook; second Alderman Saddler), and Resolution #2025-01-21-03 approving updated Council Policies and Procedures (moved by Alderman Saddler; second Alderman Johnson). Each resolution passed 4-0.
Separately, the council approved reimbursement for meals from a recently attended municipal conference. Alderman Johnson moved the reimbursement motion, Alderman Cook seconded, and the motion carried 4-0. Mayor Pinkerton asked council members to bring suggestions for an updated travel expense reimbursement plan to the February meeting.
All formal motions recorded in the minutes were moved and seconded as noted above and carried by the four council members present: Aldermen Neal, Saddler, Johnson and Cook.
