Commission reviews fundraising balances, accepts an art gift and welcomes UConn capstone study

Arlene Fiano said a $180 donation from the summer race series had been received but the check was made out incorrectly; she instructed that future checks be made payable to "The Town of Bolton / Bolton Heritage Farm" and asked that a thank-you be sent.
Rhea Klein noted she had received donations from Monday-night yoga classes that had been deposited to the Rosie fund. Corrected minutes filed later record updated balances: Heritage Farm Fund $10,705.11 (including the $180 donation) and the Rosie fund $5,539.10 (including $554 from Rhea’s summer yoga).
Rhea also reported that Steve Arnold of Brandy Street gifted one of several art pieces by Myrtle Carlson to the commission; members noted that several additional pieces need cleaning and conservation.
Separately, Arlene reported that Bolton resident Jeff Scala of Tectonic Engineering is mentoring a yearlong UConn capstone (CE11 Wood Barn Design) that would use the barn for a structural-analysis study. Commission members acknowledged the educational opportunity and did not report any formal approvals or funding commitments tied to the project.
The meeting record shows routine consent motions (minutes approvals and adjournment) passed unanimously; there were no formal votes recorded on grants or capital expenditures at this session.
