The Bolton Heritage Farm Commission met May 3, 2021 at the Bolton Heritage Farm and began the session with a Scout Garden work party because of impending inclement weather, Chairman Arlene Fiano said. Commission members reported the garden required minimal weeding, donated and added new plants, and agreed that refreshing existing mulch would be sufficient for the season; the Town will not purchase or add additional mulch.
Building and grounds supervisor John Butrymovich reported the commission has contracted True Green to perform the annual stone-wall spraying of invasive plants, that mowing has begun and general maintenance continues, and that Shamrock Tree Service had not yet removed trees that came down over the winter. The commission deferred approval of the April 5, 2021 minutes to the June 7, 2021 regular meeting. Member Rhea Klein said she plans a series of Monday evening summer yoga classes through August 2021; the commission noted the program is well received by the public.
Rhea Klein moved to adjourn the meeting; Ann Maullucci seconded and the meeting was adjourned. Chairman Arlene Fiano signed the minutes. No formal votes on budget or contracts were recorded in the minutes beyond reporting that the Town will not purchase additional mulch.
