Bolton Heritage Farm plans public events; barn doors to remain closed to interior access

Bolton Heritage Farm Commission members reviewed logistics and participant lists for several upcoming events, emphasizing safety and display plans.
Chairman Arlene Fiano said permits and inspection planning for the Celebrating Your Farm event have started and that volunteers, including John Butrymovich, would check electricity. She said the barn doors would be open for display, but the public would not be allowed to enter the barn interior.
The commission listed expected participants for the Celebrating Your Farm event, including the Bolton Fire Department, live music, a food truck, Betty’s Bees, the Conservation Commission, the Paggiollis, the Bolton Historic Society, Digging for History, Le Regiment Bourbonnais, and Bike Walk Bolton. Arlene and staff planned to ensure required permits and inspections were completed before the event.
Commissioners also confirmed participation in the Sleigh Bells Ring Faire on Nov. 19 and scheduled pre-event workshops to prepare display items on Oct. 27, Nov. 5 and Nov. 13. Representatives from Le Regiment Bourbonnais promoted an October 7–8, 2023 Living History Weekend at an earlier farm event; planning for that 2023 event is scheduled to begin in January 2023.
The commission did not report any last-minute cancellations or safety concerns and agreed to review inventory and staffing needs ahead of each event.
