The Bolton Heritage Farm Commission reviewed three proposals for W3R interpretive signage and noted that Wilderness Graphics of Tallahassee, Florida, ranked strongest in the scoring rubrics prepared by commissioner Rhea Klein.
Commission members expressed a preference for high-pressure laminate signs to ensure long-term durability in all weather and said they would like to visit installed examples referenced in the proposals to assess how the signs have held up over time. Rhea Klein prepared three Google Docs rubrics to score each proposal on relevant experience, understanding of the assignment, and alignment with budget goals.
Chairman Arlene Fiano said she will communicate the commission's material and reference preferences to Town Administrator Josh Kelly and pursue clarifications on proposal details and references. If the town authorizes the commission to follow up, members indicated a willingness to check references and visit sites. A kick-off meeting would follow selection and include Dr. Selig as the historic-content consultant.
