Bolton commission to display Selectmen‑approved master site plan at Sept. 25 farm celebration

Arlene Fiano, chairman of the Bolton Heritage Farm Commission, said the commissionwill display an enlarged version of the Master Site Plan at the Celebrating the Farm event on Sept. 25 after the Board of Selectmen approved the plan at its Sept. 6 meeting.
"The Master Plan was passed at the September 6th Board of Selectmen meeting," Fiano said, and she told the commission most of phase one should be covered under a LOTCIP grant and that both the board and the commission hope additional grants will be available.
The commission intends to use the Sept. 25 event to show the public the plan and to solicit interest for future funding. Arlene Fiano said she, Building and Grounds Supervisor John Butrymovich and possibly Dennis Sheridan will inspect electrical arrangements for the event; permits and inspection planning have already begun. The commission also said the barn doors will be open for the event but that the public will not be allowed to enter the barn interior.
Event attractions confirmed by the commission include the Bolton Fire Department, live music, a food truck, a scavenger hunt and participation by the Bike Walk Bolton group. The commission said displaying the plan at a public event is intended to raise awareness ahead of seeking additional funding and grant opportunities.
The commission will proceed with event permitting and logistics ahead of the Sept. 25 celebration.
