A roll-call vote recorded Smith yes, Ishmael yes, J Tatum yes, Rowland yes and Harrison yes; the motion passed 5–0.
The motion also directed that former Treasurer Deb Weichinger be removed from all access to the city’s accounts effective July 18, 2024. Council minutes note the action exercises the council’s administrative authority to change signatories and account access; no dollar amounts or bank names were specified in the meeting record.
The appointment fills an open administrative post and transfers online account management to the newly authorized staff. The council did not schedule additional action on the matter at this meeting; the item was recorded under Old Business and passed by roll-call vote.
