Commission approves corrected minutes; hears maintenance and fundraising reports

The Bolton Heritage Farm Commission on Feb. 1 approved corrected minutes from its Jan. 4 meeting, received routine maintenance and fundraising updates, and adjourned at 8:32 p.m.
Vice Chair Beth Ann Harney moved to accept the January minutes as corrected; Cara Wraight seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes' corrections included a spelling fix for a name, replacing "preformed" with "performed," and noting landscape architect Tom Elmore and the creation of an amphitheater in the record.
Beth Harney reported the Heritage Farm Fund (HFF) balance at $42,710.76 and a Rosie fund balance at People’s Bank of $4,033.09. Commissioners agreed to move accounts to one that can be accessed online so the treasurer does not need to visit the bank to obtain balances for monthly reporting.
Building and grounds supervisor John Butrymovich reported by email that January work finished WHIP mowing, cleaned up downed trees and hanging branches from recent storms, relocated several large logs to the concrete area behind the barn, and will next clear downed trees in the new trail area. Bonnie Massey said she and Cliff plan to clean out the farm’s bluebird houses during February.
Vice Chair Harney moved to adjourn; Rhea Klein seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 8:32 p.m.
Next steps: treasurer and staff to arrange transfer to an online-accessible account; routine maintenance and trail clearing to continue as scheduled.
