Eagle Scout proposes planting project; commission to review plan; farmers market outreach begins

Eddie Steele, a Bolton resident, described a proposal for his Eagle Scout project to plant a triangular garden between telephone poles near the Heritage Farm entrance. Chairman Arlene Fiano asked Steele to submit a detailed plan and a list of plants so that grounds supervisor John Butrymovich and she could approve the project before work began.
Commission member Beth Harney said she will begin contacting local businesses to distribute flyers and recruit vendors for the 2020 farmers market. Arlene Fiano said she has not heard from Sarah Nelson about the survey and planning grant because of the COVID-19 pandemic and will ask Town Administrator Josh Kelley to reach out to Nelson.
No formal decisions or funding commitments were made at the meeting; the commission adjourned at 7:59 p.m.
