Under the direction of commissioner Rhea Klein, the Bolton Heritage Farm Commission on Feb. 1 refined an outline of priority topics for three interpretive signs to accompany a Washington‑Rochambeau Revolutionary Route (W3R) reenactment in 2022.
The three 36" x 24" panels will highlight: the WARO route from Newport to Yorktown; the encampment at Bolton Heritage Farm; and the French‑American alliance and its importance to the American Revolution. Rhea Klein will convert the commission’s working notes into a final outline with attachments.
Chairman Arlene Fiano said she and staff will request a meeting with Dr. Robert Selig to seek his input for fact checking and concurrence with the selected priorities. The commission reported that requests for proposals (RFPs) are out and that responses from graphic artists are due by Feb. 15. The commission intends to obtain at least three quotes before selecting a designer and proceeding to sign off on designs.
