Trustee Thomas G. Luzio moved to adopt the resolution; Trustee Heather Bryant seconded and the motion was recorded as adopted with all trustees voting "Aye." During the public comment period, resident Mike McGuirk of Grove Street called the recognition "a great way forward" and said it was "meaningful for his families and others within the Village." Mary Horowitz of Lakeside Road, representing members of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection who host Pride events with community partners, urged residents to join this year’s events.
Members of the Mount Kisco Arts Council and other residents thanked the board for the show of support and suggested the village consider a dedicated flag pole for future displays. The board took no additional formal action at the meeting beyond adopting the resolution.
