Council members considered a proposal to allow above-ground swimming pools on adjoining vacant parcels and to permit removable sheds up to 144 square feet sited on gravel bases, skids or pillars without setbacks from adjoining property lines (front-yard setbacks would still apply). The council did not adopt language at the meeting; Solicitor Tim Wachter was directed to draft suggested ordinance amendments for future council review.
No vote was taken and no effective dates or permit fees were discussed. The changes, if adopted, would alter dimensional and use allowances in residential areas; council asked that draft ordinance language be prepared for formal consideration.
