Votes at a glance: Tredyffrin supervisors approve maintenance and routine items, conditionally add historic site and advertise hazard-mitigation hearing

The Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors took the following formal actions on June 15, 2026.

Approved - Replacement street sweeper (Timco) via Co-Stars for $337,594 (including $35,000 trade-in). Staff cited mounting maintenance costs on the 2016 unit and a long lead time for delivery. - Installation of a bypass pump connection at the Chesterbrook Pump Station for $29,800 (Co-Stars vendor MGK) to allow use of a portable pump if a station pump fails. - Conditional addition of 1250 Old Lancaster Road to the township historic resources map, conditioned on receipt of the property owner’s written consent as required by the ordinance. - Authorization to advertise a July 20 public hearing to consider an ordinance to acquire 599 Parkridge Drive through the (described in the packet) hazard-mitigation program for $825,000, contingent on correcting a signature on the agreement of sale. - Partial escrow release for Berwin Village in the amount of $64,565.80, leaving a balance of about $92,289 in escrow; Princeton Hydro had inspected and recommended release of completed items.

Postponed - Consideration of change order #1 for Chase Road Park (convert one basketball court to two tennis courts and construct a relocated basketball court) — postponed to the next supervisors meeting after extensive public comment and supervisor requests for more detailed cost, stormwater and procurement documentation.

Procedural notes: the board amended the agenda at the start of the meeting to add the Berwin Village escrow-release item because staff said the request required board action within 45 days of the developer's May 11 submission. Several votes were voice votes recorded as "all in favor"; where a named abstention was recorded, staff noted it in the minutes.
