At the close of a Feb. 19 working meeting, the planner reported the town has launched public outreach tied to a comprehensive‑plan refresh.
The planner said two public in‑person meetings are scheduled: 6 p.m. on March 10 at the A Techch building at Lincoln Academy and a noon session on March 26 at the Second Congregational Church; virtual sessions will accompany the in‑person events. The outreach will focus first on downtown character and then on housing and broader growth questions.
The planner said the town contracted with a consultant team led by Lisa Whited, who has led public engagement work in and around Portland, to run the sprint‑style outreach. Attendance and newspaper notices helped boost participation for the initial meetings, the planner said. "We've had two public meetings already... The next in person is March 10th," the planner said.
Board members were asked to help publicize the events; staff said posters and email notices were being distributed. The board did not take formal action at the meeting; the planner said meeting notes and outreach materials will be circulated to members and posted through town channels.
