Commission advances W3R interpretive-signage project; aims for October re-enactment

The Bolton Heritage Farm Commission discussed a National Park Service (NPS) grant tied to W3R interpretive signage and a Capstone Project during its Jan. 6, 2020 meeting. Chairman Arlene Fiano said she and member Rhea Klein put NPS representatives in touch with town administrator Josh Kelly so the grant-funded interpretive signage can be coordinated with a Farm event.
Commission members said the goal is to have the signage and related programming finished in time for the October 2020 re-enactment. Because the re-enactment will be part of the town’s 300th celebration, the commission does not plan to charge admission for 2020; members discussed the possibility of charging an entry fee at a future event if demand or costs warrant it.
The transcript also records that Ben Jacobson requested a mark-up from the NPS to meet his Capstone Project deadline; the commission did not record any formal approval actions at the meeting.
