The department requested authorization to purchase a 2026 Tahoe ahead of schedule; council approved the purchase and directed procurement to proceed.
Council members asked about projected resale value for the old vehicle and noted the replacement will come from next year’s budget, with the city handling trade-in or disposal per city procedure.
