The Marriott-Slaterville Planning Commission voted unanimously May 19 to recommend the 2026 Annexation Expansion Area Policy Plan and both accompanying maps to the City Council.
Chair Kent Meyerhoffer opened a public hearing on the plan, noting the hearing was intended to collect comments from West Weber residents and asking speakers to limit remarks to three minutes. Staff provided a short presentation saying clerical corrections had been made and that the matter had been continued from the previous month. No members of the public offered comment during the hearing, and Chair Meyerhoffer moved to close the hearing; the commission approved the motion unanimously.
Commission discussion focused on clarifications requested by the City Council; the commissioners agreed both maps should be forwarded. Commissioner Kent Schofield moved that the commission recommend approval of the 2026 Annexation Expansion Area Policy Plan and both maps to the City Council; Chair Meyerhoffer seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The recommendation now goes to the City Council for its consideration and final action.
