Two Mile Run Park announces summer events; commissioners ratify local proclamations

Two Mile Run County Park staff briefed the Venango County Commissioners on summer programming June 9 and the board ratified several local proclamations.
Park Director Kara Kauffman told commissioners the beach opened June 6, the IBO Archery Competition is scheduled for the coming weekend, and a Color Run to raise funds in memory of Luke Kauffman will be held July 11. She also announced free beach days on June 29, July 16 and Aug. 13.
The board ratified proclamations recognizing the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional of the Year, Eagle Scout Karter Hoffman, the 170th anniversary of the Silver Cornet Band and PTSD Awareness Month. Commissioner Bryan moved to approve the proclamations; Commissioner Heffernan seconded and votes were recorded as aye, all.
There was no public comment on park programming or proclamations and no further action required at the meeting minutes level.
