The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission Executive Committee voted on Jan. 5 to adopt resolutions amending the CCRPC Cafeteria Plan (Section 125), the Flexible Spending Account Plan and Dependent Care Accounts. Senior Business Manager Forest Cohen explained that the American Rescue Plan Act and the Consolidated Appropriations Act temporarily changed rules governing COBRA eligibility and Dependent Care Account contribution limits and roll‑overs, and that the Cafeteria Plan must be amended retroactively to reflect those changes.
Committee members asked procedural questions about executing the documents after the vote. Forest said he would obtain signatures from the appropriate members using DocuSign. Chris Shaw moved, seconded by Mike O’Brien, to approve the resolutions; the motion carried unanimously.
The amendments were adopted by the Executive Committee and will be executed by staff following the meeting. The minutes note the procedural step to correct a separate spelling error in the Dec. 1 minutes (Adam Wechsler).
