CCRPC appoints members to Equity Advisory Committee, sets equity goals

Charlie Baker introduced Anne Nelson Stoner, the commission’s new Equity and Engagement Manager, who said she was excited to join the team. Board member Bruce Wilson summarized recent meetings with Stoner and outlined early objectives: creating an equity statement and code of conduct, diversifying staff and interns, and working with municipalities in Chittenden County to support equity and inclusion practices.
Charlie presented a proposed membership list that included several board members, CCRPC staff and a slate of community members; Mike O’Brien moved to approve the appointments, Chris Shaw seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The CCRPC asked staff to share outreach materials with the Equity Advisory Committee and encouraged EAC review of forthcoming plan outreach.
