Commission approves McCleland grave sign pending landowner permission and plans flags for June 27 commemoration

Chair Lee Embretson will contact the landowner to request permission for sign installation.
On the June 27 event, David Beck said he would order a flag for the cemetery and additional flags for corners leading to the cemetery for a commemoration honoring veterans of the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
The commission briefly mentioned pursuing a grant from the Upper Mississippi Gaming Commission but did not take action on that topic at the meeting.
