The Salem Township Planning Commission voted on Sept. 4 to advertise a special meeting in the first two weeks of October to consider proposed amendments to the township’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO). The motion was made by Paul Holleran and seconded by Connie Mattei and passed with both members voting in favor.
Resident John Write asked whether materials for the proposed SALDO revisions would be distributed to the public prior to the special meeting. The commission said the advertisement for the special meeting will appear 7–10 days before the meeting and that revised SALDO materials will be available at that time for public review.
Action taken: The commission authorized staff to advertise the special meeting and to make the revision materials available in advance of the meeting as described.
Next steps: The commission indicated a special meeting date will be agreed upon by members for early October; the advertisement and revision materials will be posted 7–10 days beforehand.
