McCrory awards up-to-$6,000 ditch-cleaning job to Mike Creasey

Mayor Jackson said he would speak with Mr. Creasey about cleaning other ditches around town and asked that the ditch beside S&H be included. Council member Austin moved to accept Creasey’s bid; Council member Carter seconded and the council voted unanimously to award the work.
Resident Glenda Graves asked separately that the ditch stretching from Smokin' Joes to Ninth Street be cleaned; the mayor said he would request Creasey include that work when scheduling. The council also noted a house on East Raney had been torn down and removed, and that the homeowner of 833 East Raney has not picked up a registered letter sent by the city.
The council did not specify a start date in the meeting record; Mayor Jackson said he would follow up with Mr. Creasey on the scope and timing.
