The Select Board held executive sessions under 1 MRSA 405(6)(A) to discuss personnel matters. The board entered executive session at 7:49 p.m., returned to open session at 8:04 p.m., re-entered at 8:08 p.m. during which Chair Brian Mills left the room, and exited again at 8:36 p.m. On the record after the second executive session, the board confirmed that Sherry Donovan has accepted the treasurer position.
The board voted not to pay out Earned Paid Leave to a departing employee, with Treasurer Amber Cooper noting the employee had not yet accrued vacation and that state law preserves EPL balances if an employee is rehired within a year. The board also voted (2–0) to recommend a 5% increase for the Select Board secretary — raising the hourly rate from $21.22 to $22.22 (an increase of $1.00 per hour) — to be presented for Town Meeting consideration.
All personnel motions were taken in executive session or recorded as personnel actions; the board recorded motions to enter executive session under the statutory citation 1 MRSA 405(6)(A).
