Tremont Select Board requests $5.03 million school appropriation, recommends $85,500 planning reserve

The Tremont Select Board on Feb. 2 asked the Town Manager to include $5,034,430 as the Tremont School Fund appropriation in the town's proposed FY27 budget and recommended creating a School Building Planning Reserve funded with $85,500 from that same budget.

The motions were made during a meeting with the School Committee. Select Board member Kevin Buck moved the appropriation request, seconded by Eric Eaton; the motion passed unanimously. Later, Buck moved the recommendation to create the planning reserve and to fund it with $85,500 from the FY27 school budget; Eaton seconded and the motion also passed unanimously.
