Southampton Township Committee approves first readings and multiple resolutions; grants and road work advance

SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The Southampton Township Committee on Feb. 19 unanimously approved first readings of two ordinances and a series of resolutions advancing infrastructure and administrative actions.
The meeting, held at the Robert L. Thompson Building, opened with a unanimous roll-call vote to approve the Regular and Executive meeting minutes of Jan. 15. Committeeman Ronald Heston made the motion to approve the minutes and Committeeman Mikulski seconded; all five members voted in the affirmative.
The committee then introduced Ordinance 2019-02 (a CAP/Cost-of-Living Adjustment ordinance) and Ordinance 2019-03, which amends sewer service and connection fees for the Vincentown Village system. Both ordinances were approved for first reading and publication. Committeeman Mikulski moved the motion on Ordinance 2019-02 with Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Rossell seconding; Committeeman Ronald Heston moved Ordinance 2019-03 with Rossell again seconding. Mayor James Young and all committee members recorded affirmative votes on both measures.

Committee business and announcements
