Southampton committee adopts slate of municipal resolutions, approves road and community contracts

Among the approvals were Resolutions 2019-74 and 2019-75 authorizing tax-collector record adjustments as recommended by the tax assessor; Resolution 2019-76 to turn over public defender funds to Mansfield Township under the shared municipal court arrangement; Resolution 2019-77 awarding the contract for the 2018 Community Development Block Grant (Phase III) for Hampton Lakes; Resolution 2019-78 awarding the Chairville Road repaving and improvements contract; Resolution 2019-79 authorizing submission of a New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid grant application for improvements to Retreat Road; and Resolution 2019-80 cancelling certain Fiscal Year 2019 budget appropriations pursuant to N.J.S. 40A:4-60.
Rakesh Darji, P.E., of Environmental Resources, Inc. presented items included in Resolution 2019-81, authorizing Change Order #2 for the Good Farm project; the committee approved that change order and recorded that the items are slated for Phase II pending additional Burlington County Recreation funding.
Each individual resolution was moved and seconded on the record, and roll-call votes recorded Committeeman Ronald Heston, Committeeman Bill Raftery and Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Rossell voting in the affirmative. Committeeman Mikulski and Mayor James F. Young, Sr. were not present for the votes. No recorded 'no' or 'abstain' votes appear in the transcript.
The meeting also approved kennel licenses for Bedlam Kennel and Petticoat Veterinary Clinic, LLC, and approved routine bills for payment.
