Township staff responded that property owners are responsible under state law and that replacements tied to capital projects or drainage corrections may occur as part of larger infrastructure work.
Committee members moved and approved the ordinance by roll call following the public comment period. The measure includes a separate resolution establishing reimbursement rules for pavers that will guide implementation and eligibility.
The ordinance takes effect according to municipal procedures; the committee directed staff to publish reimbursement qualification details and to incorporate the change into contractor procurement and capital project planning.
