Bettendorf City Council approves pump track at Middle Park

The pump track had public backing: resident Brandon Stevens told the council he had worked with Parks and Rec on the project and said, “I am here in support of the pump track initiative,” describing the amenity as an asset that could draw local riders and benefit the area’s economy.
Council members expressed appreciation to staff and community members who worked on the proposal; Meredith Fabrezius was acknowledged for standing in for the Parks and Recreation director on the agenda item. No dollar amount or implementation schedule was provided during the meeting.
The council’s vote authorizes the Parks and Recreation director to proceed with the purchase order and installation planning; the item passed and will move to staff implementation steps as the department executes the purchase order.
