Castine Selectboard approves General Fund and Water warrants totaling $111,763.56

The Castine Selectboard approved two warrants and adjourned to a budget work session during a brief meeting on Feb. 25, 2025.
Chair Dan Leader opened the meeting at 7:40 a.m., confirmed a quorum of board members and introduced a General Fund warrant for $47,253.73. Selectboard member Amy Gutow moved to approve the warrant; Leader seconded. Leader called out bills to vendors including Coastal Energy, Hampden Electric, Stevens Electric & Pump Service and Wadman CPA. The motion passed unanimously, three votes to none (Amy Gutow — yes; Dan Leader — yes; Roberta Boczkiewicz — yes).
Leader then moved approval of the Water warrant in the amount of $64,509.83; Gutow seconded. Leader said most of that warrant payment was to the Maine Municipal Bond Bank for debt service. That motion also passed 3–0 (Gutow — yes; Leader — yes; Boczkiewicz — yes).
With no further regular business, Leader moved to adjourn the meeting; Gutow seconded. The Selectboard voted to adjourn 3–0 at 7:44 a.m. A budget work session followed the adjournment.
