Pride safety, vendor parking issues prompt follow-up with public safety and parking authority

"The only major event that I heard of, and I wasn't there on Saturday, but happened on Saturday when someone was hit with a golf cart," one commissioner reported. The same speaker said vendors did not receive parking variances for unloading, which created problems for event vendors.
Commissioners asked Julian, who had been hands-on at Pride, to provide additional context to support follow-up. The commission agreed the lead staff would pursue more information from public safety and the parking authority and report back, noting that some matters (for example, medical response details) would be handled by public-safety agencies and not by the commission.
