Brimfield Township trustees hear proposed driveway rule changes, take no action

The draft ordinance would allow driveways in any required yard or the edge of a yard and set a minimum lateral setback of two feet from the property line unless otherwise specified in the resolution. It would require a minimum apron width of 16 feet and a minimum driveway width of 10 feet along the entire length to accommodate fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. For residential uses the proposal specifies a minimum 12‑inch diameter culvert pipe, permitting high‑density polyethylene (HDPE), SDR 35, concrete, or material approved by the Road Superintendent.
