The Brimfield Township Board of Trustees recorded a series of procedural votes and personnel actions at its Nov. 25 meeting.
Trustee Mike Kostensky moved and Trustee Sue Fields seconded a set of routine motions that passed on roll calls with Trustees Kostensky and Fields voting yea and Trustee Nicholas Coia recorded as absent: tabling the Oct. 29, 2025 minutes (MOTION #2025-339); approving the meeting agenda (MOTION #2025-340); approving purchase orders (MOTION #2025-341); and approving warrants (MOTION #2025-342).
The board accepted an anonymous $200 donation to the Fire Department (MOTION #2025-343) and moved several zoning-related items: scheduling a public hearing on proposed amendments to Section 510.07 (Driveways) for Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 AM (MOTION #2025-344) and scheduling a hearing on amendments to Section 311.02b and Appendix E to align listed uses for Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7:40 AM (MOTION #2025-345).
The trustees renewed a series of appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Zoning Commission: Bruce Knippenberg (Board of Zoning Appeals, 2026–2030), Patrick Blair (alternate, BZA, through Dec. 31, 2026), Anthony Ramos II (alternate, BZA, through Dec. 31, 2026), Tom Sargent (Zoning Commission, 2026–2030), Carl Riggenbach (alternate, Zoning Commission, through Dec. 31, 2026) and Robert Radoslovich (alternate, Zoning Commission, through Dec. 31, 2026) (MOTIONS #2025-346 through #2025-351). All of those motions passed with Kostensky and Fields recorded as voting yea and Coia absent.
The board approved the resignation of Parks and Recreation Director Cassie Weyer, with a final working day of Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 (MOTION #2025-352). The meeting also included a motion to convene an executive session under Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G) to consider employment matters (MOTION #2025-353); the board returned at 7:13 PM and took no action.
