Salem council suspends rules to allow first readings of five ordinances

Ordinance No. 17 proposes modifications to sections 185.01A and 185.99 related to Chapter 185 taxation. Ordinances Nos. 18 and 19 concern appropriations and transfers (No. 18) and reductions in appropriations (No. 19); both were presented with emergency clauses for their first reading. Ordinance No. 20 would amend section 1147.01 (part 11, title 3) of the codified ordinances and was also read by title for first reading.
Who moved: Mr. Ty moved to suspend rules for Ordinance 16; Mr. Stockman moved for No. 17; Miss Bricker moved for No. 18 and No. 19; Mr. Stockman moved for No. 20. Clerk roll-call confirmations show each motion carried with yes votes from Mrs. Bear, Miss Bricker, Mr. Stockman, Mr. Ty and Mr. Zers.
