Sanilac County approves $148,328 in claims, records $2.1M in May charges and awards HVAC bid

SANILAC COUNTY, Mich. — The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners approved several finance and procurement actions during its June 16 meeting in Sandusky, including the payment of current claims, the recording of additional general fund charges for May and the award of a refrigeration and electrical contract for the administration office.
The board approved payment of current claims listed on the accounts payable report dated June 9, 2026, in the amount of $148,328.56. The motion was made by Commissioner Bill Sarkella and seconded by Commissioner Roger Ballard, and the minutes record that the motion "carried." The minutes do not include a vote tally.
The board also approved additional general fund bank account charges for May 2026 totaling $2,099,654.55, broken down in the minutes as $558,947.69 in ACH payments and $1,540,706.86 in checks.
