Tecumseh council approves multiple economic-development property actions, including sale to Chanco Properties

On July 7 the Tecumseh City Council approved several economic-development and real-estate actions, moving multiple lots and a lot-split application forward.
Council approved an agreement to transfer an economic-development lot (motion by Tyler Speckmann, second by Lance Beethe) and approved a contract for sale by the Economic Development authority to Chanco Properties, LLC (motion by Lance Beethe, second by Tyler Speckmann). Both motions carried with Council Members Lance Beethe, Brian Britt, Tyler Speckmann and Lorie Topp voting aye and two members absent.
Council also approved an application and resolution for a lot split submitted by Rachel Walters as personal representative for the Benjamin E. Walters estate (motion by Lorie Topp, second by Brian Britt). The motions were recorded as carried; no public comment or conditions were recorded in the minutes.
Next steps: staff will complete the necessary transfer and recording documents and coordinate closing and lot-split recording with the register of deeds.
